Key Marco is the name of a remote Gated Island Community located just south of Marco Island. Key Marco is located on what was formerly known as Horr’s Island. Horr’s Island is a significant archaeological site. Human remains found of Horr’s Island date back to the Archaic Period 8000 to 2000 BC.
